When reports emerged that Kevin Owens’ WWE contract is set to expire, the rumour mills went into overdrive, speculating that Owens could rejoin his former Mount Rushmore partners Adam Cole and The Young Bucks in AEW, with Owens himself further stoking the fires by Tweeting and quickly deleting the co-ordinates of the actual Mount Rushmore.

And it seems Mount Rushmore themselves noticed.

Speaking with Sports Illustrated's Justin Barrasso, Adam Cole gave his thoughts on Owens’ cheeky Tweet:

“I got a kick out of the tweet. Kevin is one of my best friends, and the friendship goes deeper than just pro wrestling. I’m very thankful for our friendship. He’s one of the first people to text me, no matter what. Whether it was about NXT or Pro Wrestling Guerrilla or Japan, or now AEW, he’s [one] of the first people to reach out every single time.”

The original Mount Rushmore of Professional Wrestling were active from 2013 to 2014 in PWG, and reformed as Mount Rushmore 2.0 after Owens joined WWE, with Super Dragon and Roderick Strong joining The Bucks and Cole.
