AEW's Darius Martin Provides Update On His Recovery, Praises Tony Khan

The Top Flight star has been out of action since February 2021

In the midst of Dante Martin’s rise to prominence on AEW television, questions have been asked of his brother Darius’s recovery from injury, with the Top Flight star out of action since February with an inured ACL.

Now Darius has given an update on his rehabilitation, telling Jon Alba on One-On-One (recorded after AEW Full Gear):

"I'm feeling pretty good, just moving around, taking it day by day, trying to get the clearance again, working my way up and building the strength again," he said. "You never want injuries, but I'm thankful it came at a time where I am fortunate enough to have this deal with AEW. AEW has been great to me during it. I really feel all the love and support from them. I've been fortunate enough to have that."

"I'm still on the road, they've still been paying me,” continued Martin. “I'm still lucky enough to have that job and financial security because of AEW. It's a great place and Tony Khan is an amazing boss who really values his employees and treats us like human beings. Tony is the best."

Darius Martin underwent ACL surgery in April 2021, but there is still no timeframe on when he will return to in-ring action.
