AEW's Kenny Omega Wants To Face El Hijo Del Vikingo

El Hijo del Vikingo put in another amazing performance over the weekend at AAA's Verano de Escandalo and he even performed Croyt's Wrath, a move popularised by Kenny Omega. 

Outside of his AEW and IMPACT Wrestling duties, Omega is the reigning AAA Mega Champion and The Best Bout Machine has since revealed he wants a match with Vikingo. 

"The balance and core strength this takes is incredible. With a little more raw power, he could have done it just as good as me. I've said @vikingo_aaa is one of the best for a reason. Much like with Jungle Boy in AEW, I want to crush your future too, @luchalibreaaa," Omega tweeted.

The match can only currently take place in Mexico, though, because Vikingo is having an issue getting a visa for the United States. The Mexican wrestling star told AS during an interview that he is hoping to get the issue resolved this year so he can work in AEW and IMPACT Wrestling at some point in the future.

AAA has considered booking the match in the past, according to Wrestling Observer's Dave Meltzer, but the COVID-19 pandemic meant any plans had to be scrapped.
