AEW To Debut In Montreal Later This Year

AEW heading to Montreal

All Elite Wrestling are set to hold their first shows in Montreal, Quebec, Canada later this year, just in time for a potential screwjob angle involving MJF.

Pat Laprade has reported that AEW will debut in Montreal on Tuesday, December 5 and Wednesday, December 6 with shows from the Bell Centre.

"I spoke to multiple sources and AEW would make its long awaited Montreal debut on December 5 and December 6 at the Bell Center. Wednesday will be Dynamite and Rampage, and the Tuesday show should be Collision and ROH. AEW is currently doing a Canadian tour.

"So for those wondering, I don't have a confirmation that Collision will be taped on a Tuesday, only that there will be a show that night, but what else would be taped? AEW started pre-taping Collision (Hamilton was a Thursday) and WWE sometimes tapes 2 SmackDown the same day," Laprade tweeted.

MJF is the current AEW World Champion and he continues to insist that his contract expires at the end of 2023 to kick off the great bidding war of 2024. The Bell Centre hosted the infamous Montreal Screwjob at Survivor Series 1997 that saw Shawn Michaels win the WWE Title from Bret Hart.

AEW have increased their presence in Canada over the last year and the promotion are currently on a tour of the Great White North that is set to end on July 15 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
