AEW Winter Is Coming Draws Best Dynamite Ratings In Demo For Two Months

Dynamite Winter is Coming drew good ratings for AEW

All Elite Wrestling recently ran its third annual Winter is Coming special of Dynamite, with Jon Moxley vs. Swerve Strickland headlining the show.

The show proved to be somewhat of a ratings hit for AEW, with the show averaging around 845,000 with 394,000 in the vaunted 18-49 demographic. Per Wrestlenomics, this represented a viewership gain of 3%, with the 18-49 numbers up 20% from the December 6 episode of Dynamite.

The viewers in the 18-34 age range were up 41% from 117,000 to 165,000 - more than doubling the numbers NXT managed the night before in the same demo. This also represented AEW’s largest 18-34 viewership since the October 4 episode of Dynamite - Adam Copeland’s TV debut.

These numbers will come as a welcome bonus to AEW, who have seen stagnating viewership numbers for much of the second half of 2023. With TV rights deal discussions currently ongoing with broadcast partner Warner Bros. Discovery, AEW will be hoping this is the start of a positive upward trend for viewing figures.
