AEW World Title Match & More Set For Dynamite Grand Slam

A huge match between friends at AEW Dynamite Grand Slam

The AEW World Title match for Dynamite Grand Slam on Wednesday, September 21 is official.

The semifinals of the Grand Slam Tournament of Champions took place on Wednesday's episode of Dynamite and both Jon Moxley and Bryan Danielson won their respective matches to advance to the final. Moxley defeated Sammy Guevara in the opening contest on Wednesday. Bryan Danielson then submitted Chris Jericho in the main event to the LeBell Lock.

Prior to forming the Blackpool Combat Club, Moxley and Danielson went one-on-one at Revolution in March. Moxley came out on top on that occasion.

A new AEW World Champion needed to be crowned after CM Punk was stripped of the belt on the post-All Out edition of Dynamite. The Second City Saviour is out of action with a torn triceps but he is also currently suspended following a backstage fight with The Elite.

Also announced for Dynamite Grand Slam is an Interim AEW Women's World Title Four-Way as champion Toni Storm will defend the gold against Britt Baker, Athena, and Serena Deeb. The match came about following Deeb and Baker's win over Storm and Athena on Dynamite after Baker used a chair on the women's champion.

PAC will also put the All-Atlantic Championship on the line against Orange Cassidy. The rivals rekindled their hostilities at All Out following PAC's successful title defence against Kip Sabian.
