AEW Wrestle Dynasty Set For January 5, 2025 In Tokyo

AEW hits the Tokyo Dome the day after Wrestle Kingdom 19

During Sunday night's Forbidden Door pay-per-view, AEW announced Wrestle Dynasty for Sunday, January 5, 2025 at the Tokyo Dome, one day after NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 19 in the same building.

The event will be a joint production between AEW, NJPW, ROH, CMLL, and STARDOM.

NJPW's official press release reads, "Five promotions will come together for one mega card as NJPW, AEW, CMLL, ROH and STARDOM will all be under the roof of the Dome just 24 hours after Wrestle Kingdom 19. A night of dream matches is in store to kick off the year! Stay tuned for more information on how to be there ringside for a new page in wrestling history being written!"

The event would be AEW's second different stadium show outside the United States, following the annual All In at London's Wembley Stadium in 2023 and 2024. It would also be AEW's fourth overall pay-per-view outside the United States, after last year's Forbidden Door was held in Toronto.

Wrestle Dynasty would be AEW's second pay-per-view in an eight day stretch, as the 2024 World's End takes place on Saturday, December 28.
