AEW's Riho Provides Update On Injury
Riho has been out of action for some time
Oct 20, 2024
Riho hasn’t competed in an AEW ring since all the way back in July when she defeated Lady Frost on an episode of Collision. Prior to that she hadn’t wrestled in AEW in nearly four months. During this match on Collision, Riho suffered from a broken arm, keeping her out of action for the foreseeable future.
Taking to her blog, Riho provided an update on her AEW absence, noting that she was still recovering and strengthening her arm, but revealed the bone had now healed completely. She also gave some insight on her current VISA situation.
“I broke my arm at the beginning of July and it’s been 3 months. I’m sure you’re all thinking, ‘Why aren’t you coming back?’ As it turns out, my VISA has been renewed and I am still unable to go to the United States. The bone has healed completely! Although there is still some slowness in movement, I think it will get better in a little while.”
The former AEW Women’s World Champion has competed only a handful of times this year even before her injury. Her last big push came at the back end of 2023 where she challenged Toni Storm for the world title at Worlds End 2023.
