Back in January 2020, former NFL defensive lineman AJ Francis signed with WWE and was a part of the same Performance Center class as the likes of Mercedes Martinez, Jake Atlas and Reginald.

They have all since debuted on WWE TV, but Francis has yet to step inside the squared circle on either Raw, SmackDown or NXT.

Francis was asked by PopCulture when we can expect to see him in the ring and he said he's just waiting for his opportunity like everybody else.

"I could be on SmackDown Friday and I wouldn't know until Thursday night. So you never know in this business, you never know how it's going to work out. So hopefully soon, cause I've been waiting in the wings a while and there's a lot of talented performers in this business and I think I'm one of them. So I'm waiting for my opportunity just like everybody else," he said.

Francis is keeping busy in WWE, though, and he is the host of the new series WWE's Most Wanted Treasures.
