AJ Lee Talks About WWE In-Ring Future

AJ Lee has spoken of her in-ring future after her triumphant return to WWE in late 2025.

Lee returned to WWE after a decade away from the company, wrestling several matches before again departing the company after defeat to Becky Lynch at WrestleMania 42. However, as is always the case in pro-wrestling you never say never, with Lee saying the following to Cheryl Strayed on Mind Over Mountain when asked about her in-ring future:

“We’ll see. There was a piece of me where I was just like, ‘I just need a little time.’ When I did, I was like, ‘I’m still kind of killing it.’ I’m confident in what I can bring, but I feel like I’m also story-driven,” said Lee.

AJ continued, again noting how the story would have to be good for her to dust off her boots once more:

“If there is a story there, that’s going to be the thing that excites me. If it’s something new that I haven’t done and feels like breaking ground, that is what is interesting to me. We’ll see. I’m going to keep writing, working out, and staying ready,” Lee said.
