AJ Styles Believes "We're Getting Close" To A WWE Match With Edge
Could a dream match finally be on the cards?
Since Edge’s WWE return at Royal Rumble 2020 there have been a number of high profile dream matches on the table for the ‘Rated R Superstar’, with AJ Styles being near the top of the list.
The two have clashed before, with Edge allegedly separating Styles’s shoulder with a Spear in the 2021 Royal Rumble. And now, during an appearance on WWE’s The Bump, Styles himself thinks the two are long overdue a singles match:
"The last time Edge and I were in the ring together, he separated my shoulder with a spear, which is the way it should have been. We need to get back in the ring with a one-on-one match and get this thing over with. I want this match. He wants this match. When it going to happen? We're getting close.”
Since his return in 2020, Edge has feuded with the likes of Randy Orton, Roman Reigns, Daniel Bryan, Seth Rollins, and The Miz, having feuded with Miz and Orton previously during his first WWE run.
