AJ Styles Confirms AEW Talks
Bullet Club almost reunited...
Sep 16, 2020
On the Talk'n Shop podcast's Patreon, Matt Jackson recently revealed another former member of Bullet Club would have debuted in All Elite Wrestling alongside Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson on the debut episode of Dynamite. Matt hinted the unnamed member was AJ Styles as the person in question re-signed with WWE in early 2019.
The Young Buck said: "When we were pitching ideas to have you guys [Anderson and Gallows] come in, it was not going to be just the two of you. There was going to be another person who I would not name. Let us just say he's another Bullet Club member you may not want to talk about."
"We were originally going to debut AEW Dynamite at Madison Square Garden. At the end of our match, the three of you were supposed to jump the guardrail, and we were going to have a Bullet Club reunion. Obviously, things didn't work out like that."
Matt added: "The first guy in this conversation buzzed us and said, 'I just got too good of an offer [from WWE] and I would have never got that money without you guys offer. So, I want to thank you."
The Phenomenal One confirmed on a recent Twitch stream that he was indeed the man in question and he held talks with AEW before he re-signed with WWE.
"Listen guys, this is a business," Styles disclosed. "Things have been talked about. It was one of those things. Of course, you know, you talk to your friends. The Bucks are my friends, they're my buds. We didn't talk about money but there was conversation or something like that because my contract was coming up. It is what it is. It's business. So yeah, there's some truth to that."
