WWE opened the so-called Forbidden Door when they booked IMPACT Wrestling Knockouts Champion Mickie James to participate in the 2022 women's Royal Rumble match.

Following that crossover, former TNA/IMPACT and current WWE star AJ Styles has said that he would like to see the two sides working together more.

In an interview with Ariel Helwani of BT Sport, the Phenomenal One said:

"I would love to see it. I think it's a good thing. I'm afraid the door only opens one way. There is a lot of library on AJ Styles, Bobby Lashley and some of the other guys and girls. It wouldn't be a bad thing".

Styles, a former TNA/IMPACT Grand Slam winner, also intimated that he wouldn't be against making an appearance for IMPACT (though he hasn't pitched to do so himself).

AJ elaborated on the need for WWE to form relationships with IMPACT and other companies, saying:

"We need to have a working relationship with other companies. As much as people want us to hate each other, we don't. We want to see people succeed. We want to see people do well. I do. Competition is a good thing. if they have a good show, I want to have a better show. I'm sure they feel the same way. There is nothing wrong with that, it just makes it better for everyone else who ever loved pro wrestling".

Styles will compete for the WWE Title inside the Elimination Chamber this Saturday.
