Alex Reynolds Defends AEW's Safety Protocols

He was recently knocked out on Dynamite...

During the main event of the October 21 episode of AEW: Dynamite, Alex Reynolds was knocked out following a Splash-Leg Drop combination form Private Party. The Blade dragged Reynolds over to the corner after the move to tag him out of the match, but AEW's medical team didn't rush to help the Dark Order member and the other teams continued to do spots around him while he was unconscious.

The former Beaver Boy eventually regained consciousness and did another spot before receiving medical attention from Dr. Michael Sampson.

AEW was criticised for their response to Reynolds being knocked out, but the man himself defended the promotion's safety protocols during a recent Pro Wrestling Junkies virtual-meet-and-greet.

"No, I think our team does a fantastic job," Reynolds said. "I think they took care of me, right away when we all realized I was hurt. They got me out of there nice and safe, so it's a contact sport, you know? Injuries are gonna happen and I think they've shown that they can handle those situations so yeah, I don't think those safety concerns are validated, as somebody who's kinda just lived through it. I've put my trust fully in our staff."
