Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin's TNA Deals Believed To Be Expiring Very Soon

Motor City Machine Guns' deals with TNA Wrestling possibly expiring

TNA Wrestling might be set to lose two of their top stars.

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, the belief amongst some they have spoken with is Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin's deals with TNA Wrestling are expiring in the near future, possibly as soon as the end of March.

The Motor City Machine Guns are currently booked for Smash Wrestling in London, Ontario, Canada on Sunday, April 21, an event on the same weekend as TNA's Rebellion pay-per-view. Rebellion will emanate from The Palms in Las Vegas on Saturday, April 20. Speculation from PWInsider has suggested that MCMG may still work for TNA but the promotion might not be their priority. Motor City Machine Guns are not currently officially booked for a match at Rebellion.

Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin have been a part of TNA Wrestling on and off for 20 years. Sabin joined the promotion in 2003 and remained signed until 2014. He then returned to TNA in 2019 and has been with the company ever since. Shelley, meanwhile, has had several runs with TNA since he initially signed with the company back in 2004.

As the Motor City Machine Guns, Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley are three-time TNA World Tag Team Champions. They have been two of the promotion's biggest stars in recent years, with Sabin having recently finished up his 10th reign as X-Division Champion with a loss to Mustafa Ali. Alex Shelley was the promotion's world champion for much of 2023. He dropped the belt to Moose at Hard To Kill 2024 in January.
