Alleged WWE Target Reportedly Closer To Signing With AEW

Isn't this a great time to be a fan of professional wrestling?
WWE's rather aggressive talent signing policy has seen a catalogue of indy talents with steam behind their names join the company. However, more recently, with the likes of AEW and ROH putting together world-class rosters of their own, a number of talents have reportedly turned down the chance to sign for WWE in favour of moves to remain on the indys.
It appears that WWE and AEW are going head-to-head for another signing as Dave Meltzer of the
Wrestling Observer Newsletterclaims that former WOS Women's Champion Bea Priestley is a wanted woman.
Here's what Dave penned in the latest WON: “The only name that I’ve heard among women is STARDOM’s Bea Priestley, who WWE was pushing hard for, but AEW looks closer with her. She’s not signed as of yet.
“All Elite seems like a great choice for newer women to go right now,” Meltzer continued. “WWE has a lot of great wrestlers, but there is so many people, that it’s easy to get lost in the talent pool, or take forever to make it up the ranks. AEW, if a success, they’re going to feature women at a top level, so there is more opportunity to be featured and make an impact quicker. There are arguments for both sides but AEW wants to push women and the roster is thin, just Britt Baker and Brandi Rhodes. They are heavily scouting Japan. A good woman wrestler would be featured on major television far quicker in AEW."
