Andrade Released By WWE

The 31-year-old has got his wish

WWE have confirmed they have come to terms on the release of Andrade from his contract.

It was reported just over a week ago that Andrade had requested his release from WWE, having not been utilised on television since a loss to former tag-team partner Angel Garza in October. The Mexican superstar had removed all mention of WWE from his online profiles.

That initial request was turned down, something that the former NXT Champion seemingly confirmed himself on social media.

Andrade would post the words 'Good News' on his Twitter account on Sunday evening and it has now been confirmed that the 31-year-old has got his wish, with WWE releasing him.

In a short statement on WWE.com, the promotion said: "WWE has come to terms on the release of Andrade. We wish him all the best in all of his future endeavors."

Andrade joined WWE in 2015 and moved to the main roster from NXT in 2018. He is engaged to Charlotte Flair, who had reportedly pitched creative ideas for her and her fiancée to work together, something that was turned down by WWE.
