WWE have signed another college athlete to a full-time developmental deal with the company.

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Meghan Walker, a 21-year-old track and field athlete from Nebraska University, has signed an NXT deal with WWE. Walker has been around WWE for some time, having signed an NIL deal with the organisation earlier this year.

Walker was a part of the pre-SummerSlam tryouts in August which also featured the likes of Will Kroos, LJ Cleary, Ben Bishop, Omari, Anita Vaughan, Ellen Viking, and Elijah Blum.

Walker primarily competed in the 400-metre sprint in college. In high school, Walker was a two-time South Dakota state champion in the 200-metre and 400-metre sprints.

Two more recent WWE signings earned contracts following the pre-SummerSlam tryouts in gymnast Jessica Bogdanov and American footballer Cyrus Habibi-Likio. They also signed NXT deals with WWE.

Scrutiny has recently been placed upon how much NXT talents earn within WWE, with Priscilla Kelly recently claiming that wrestlers earn as little as $30,000 per year. This has been disputed by WWE, however, and it has been claimed the starting salary for an NXT talent on TV is actually $75,000 per year.
