Anthony Bowens In Action Without Max Caster At AEW Dark Tapings

No Caster to be seen

Max Caster was absent from this week's AEW TV tapings in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

The Acclaimed were not in action during the live episode of Dynamite, but Anthony Bowens went one on one with PAC during AEW's Dark taping. WrestleZone's Dominic DeAngelo noted Max Caster was nowhere to be seen, though, and Bowens did not come out to The Acclaimed's entrance music.

DeAngelo tweeted: "It's Anthony Bowens vs. PAC right now and damn, is The Bastard over. (No Max Caster with Bowens, btw) #AEWDark."

This comes after Max Caster performed a widely-criticised pre-match rap at the July 28 Dark taping, during which he referenced Olympian Simone Biles' mental health, rape accusations against the Duke University men's lacrosse team and fake COVID-19 tests. The rap was initially included in the August 3 Dark episode but was quickly removed following social media backlash.

AEW President Tony Khan later described the rap as "terrible" and reports have noted Max Caster's appearances in the company are "on ice." The tag team were also removed from the AEW rankings despite having a 14-3 record and they have been replaced by The Lucha Brothers.
