Anthony Bowens Reveals He Underwent Procedure For Injured Knee

Blames an attack on Dark: Elevation

Anthony Bowens of The Acclaimed has undergone a procedure to fix his injured knee, citing an attack on Dark: Elevation as the cause.

Bowens wrote of his injury on Twitter, "Without getting into too much detail..bc of the attack after Elevation on Monday, I had to undergo a procedure this week to fix my knee. Story of my life..1 step forward, 2 steps back."

There is no timetable on Bowens' return to action.

Bowens has been largely inactive since March, though has still appeared (in his hype man role) alongside Acclaimed partner Max Caster for his singles outings. Bowens did wrestle with Caster and Gunn Club as part of an eight-man match on this past Monday's episode of Elevation, prior to the storyline attack.

The injury was referenced in a brief promo with Caster and all three Gunn Club members during Friday's Rampage. The person who injured Bowens' knee wasn't revealed. Billy Gunn said that Bowens will be welcomed back when he's healthy.

In recent weeks, The Acclaimed and Gunn Club have formed an unlikely alliance, with Billy Gunn seemingly favoring Caster and Bowens over his own sons.
