Austin Theory Wins United States Title At WWE Survivor Series WarGames

Theory is the new United States Champion following his win at WWE Survivor Series WarGames!

Austin Theory may have failed to win the United States Championship when he cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase, but he captured the gold at Survivor Series WarGames on Saturday, November 26 with a win in a Triple Threat against Seth Rollins and Bobby Lashley.

All three competitors clashed in an excellent Three-Way for the gold that featured plenty of entertaining moments. It didn't appear that Theory would leave Boston, Massachusetts with the belt but that is exactly what happened down the stretch after Rollins hit Theory with a Superplex. He was about to connect with a Falcon Arrow but Lashley decked the United States Champion with a Spear from out of nowhere. This caused Rollins to crumble to the mat and Theory landed on top of the champion and covered Seth for the victory.

With the win, Theory is now a two-time United States Champion. He held the gold earlier this year, losing it to Bobby Lashley at the Money in the Bank pay-per-view in early July. Rollins had been United States Champion since he won the gold from Lashley on October 10.
