Backstage News On Giulia Being Helped To The Back On WWE SmackDown Following Loss To Blake Monroe

184 days on from when she finished up with WWE NXT and four months since she first attacked Giulia, Blake Monroe finally made her WWE main roster in-ring debut on the October 2 edition of Friday Night SmackDown.

Blake Monroe and Giulia had an eight-minute match, although the finish of the match did not involve Monroe connecting with her finishing move as she instead avoided a Superplex attempt from Giulia and dropped down to the apron before chopping at Giulia's leg, which caused the former WWE Women's United States Champion's head to bounce off the top turnbuckle. Giulia then collapsed to the mat and Monroe made the cover for the pinfall win.

After the match, Giulia was checked on by the referee and was helped to the back by WWE's medical team during the commercial break. While there was fan concern for Giulia, her being helped to the back was simply all an angle. Fightful's Corey Brennan has reported the finish of Giulia vs. Blake Monroe and Giulia being helped to the back after the match was listed on the internal rundown for SmackDown.

An additional backstage segment between Giulia and Monroe was also scheduled for SmackDown. The segment aired on social media after the show and saw Giulia deliver a headbutt to Blake Monroe.
