Zoey Stark sustained what looked to be a serious injury on the May 19 edition of Monday Night Raw in Greenville, South Carolina. Stark was in action on the show in a Triple Threat against Rhea Ripley and Kairi Sane in a Money in the Bank qualifier.

Stark sustained the injury after she went for a Missile Dropkick to Kairi Sane but landed awkwardly on her knee. Stark immediately received medical attention and was helped to the back as the match continued effectively as a singles match, with Ripley picking up the win following a Riptide to Kairi Sane.

Stark's injury caused plans to change for the Money in the Bank Triple Threat, with Dave Meltzer reporting on Wrestling Observer Radio that the plan wasn't for Kairi Sane to be pinned in what was the former NXT Women's Champion's return match. This would suggest the original plan was for Stark to be pinned by Rhea Ripley.

"Sane lost her first match back, which was obviously not the plan. They had no choice, they had to do what they had to do," Meltzer said.

May 19 was also Stark's first match on Raw since January. The former Pure Fusion Collective member had been utilised on Main Event and WWE Speed since the Royal Rumble.

Meltzer also noted that Stark's injury was to the same knee in which she suffered a torn ACL, MCL, and meniscus in 2021. The severity of Stark's current injury is unknown as of the time of writing.
