Backstage News On Matt Riddle Having Heat With WWE Management
Matt Riddle received some heat backstage in WWE
After an up and down career in the company, Matt Riddle’s time in WWE came to an end last week amidst WWE’s most recent set of releases from the promotion. Riddle’s issues in his personal life and heat with other wrestlers hasn’t kept a secret over the years, with reported issues with names like Seth Rollins, Brock Lesnar, and Goldberg, in addition to suspensions and allegations.
Riddle also supposedly had some heat with WWE management per a report from Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, who noted that one particular promo drew the ire of those backstage. Riddle went off script in a promo in which he talked up his partner Randy Orton and the back pain he’d been dealing with, though he did this before any injury angle was actually shot. Meltzer noted, “While praised for the promo going behind the scenes and being real, it was not what was scripted for him.”
There were bound to be more instances of Riddle having heat with management, though is one specific example that Meltzer was able to pluck out.
