Bandido's AEW Return Delayed

Bandido suffers an injury setback

A popular AEW talent won't be back on TV in the near future.

Bandido has been out of action for the past several months and he hasn't wrestled on any AEW programming since a loss to Konosuke Takeshita on the June 16 edition of Rampage. The former ROH World Champion sustained a broken wrist around this time and he underwent surgery a couple of weeks later.

Bandido was expected to return in September and his cast was removed months ago but the popular luchador has yet to resurface on AEW TV.

In an update, Dave Meltzer has reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that Bandido's wrist did not heal properly following the first surgery and he has had to go under the knife for a second time.

"Bad news for Bandido, by the way. Another surgery on the wrist. Yeah, it didn't heal properly. No, it's not good at all. It's really too bad because he was literally ready to come right back, and the bone didn't heal well, which is really sad. The guy's got so much charisma," Meltzer said.

When Bandido will be able to wrestle once again is currently up in the air following his latest surgery.
