Bayley On Becky Lynch WWE WrestleMania 37 Return Rumours: "It Was Wishful Thinking"

The Man hasn't appeared on TV since May 2020

Ahead of WrestleMania 37, rumours swirled that Becky Lynch could make her WWE return at The Showcase Of The Immortals. Those rumours were only stoked after WWE President Nick Khan said the former Raw Women's Champion would be back "in the not too distant future" and Lynch herself teased she would be making an appearance on night one.

Some even thought Lynch would be doing something with Bayley at 'Mania after The Role Model wasn't booked for The Show Of Shows, but this ultimately wasn't the case and The Man failed to appear.

Bayley was asked about the rumours during a recent chat with Sportskeeda and she described them as "wishful thinking."

"I think it was wishful thinking and people ready to see Becky back and ready to see me get my butt-kicked, I guess. It's not gonna happen because she didn't come back, suckers. She's too busy being a mom. I'm sure it'll happen at some time. We both have some time left and we both have a lot of things we want to do. I'm sure she has a list of things she wants to do," Bayley said.

"The last time I think we were in the ring together may have been when I beat her up with a chair. I'm sure she's ready to get her hands on me and I'll be ready because I've been doing a lot since she's been gone. This is consistent Bayley, no time off for me. I've been making moves, Becky Lynch. She better start [at the bottom]. I know she 'gave up' her championship, but that doesn't mean she'll return and be right back in that picture. She better start at the very bottom."

While Bayley didn't have a segment with Lynch at 'Mania, she did make appearances across April 10 and April 11 and ended night two on her face after being attacked by The Bella Twins.
