Becky Lynch Calls Kevin Patrick's WWE Release "Heartbreaking"

Becky Lynch was heart-broken when WWE released Kevin Patrick

Back in late January, it was revealed that former commentator Kevin Patrick had been released by WWE after spending nearly three years with the company. The announce teams on WWE programming received a shake-up following his release, with Pat McAfee being brought back into the fold. It didn’t take long for Patrick to find himself a new role, becoming the lead host of MLS 360 on Apple TV.

Patrick was a popular name backstage, as noted by fellow Irish international Becky Lynch. When speaking on The Ringer Wrestling Show podcast to promote her new book "Becky Lynch: The Man: Not Your Average Average Girl.", Lynch noted that it was sad to lose Patrick, calling him one of the sweetest men she’d ever met.

“It was heart-breaking, we all loved him. We loved him, I love him. He's great. He was always working so hard. He would always find you [and say] 'what do you want me to talk about, let me take all these notes.' He was always asking and always trying to improve and get better and tell the best story. That goes a long way too that he cared enough to always be doing that. He was great."

Lynch spoke about the closeness between the Irish individuals in WWE, with Lynch saying Patrick felt as close as a brother to her in the company.
