Mick Foley is one of the most gifted promos of all time, with the Hardcore Legend’s mic work in ECW and WWE still reverberating through the industry today.
Despite his skills on the stick, Foley has never undertaken a managerial position in AEW or WWE - General Manager and commissioner aside - but as Foley revealed on the Foley is Good podcast, Becky Lynch once wanted the former WWE Champion managing her on TV:
"I can't think of anybody offhand,” said Foley when asked who he’d manage in current-day AEW. “Because honestly, I don't think I have much to offer in a managerial role. Do you know who's always wanted me to do an angle, like from a managerial perspective? Becky Lynch. She's pointed that out a few times. I said, 'Becky, if you can talk to the powers that be, I would,' but she's doing really well on her own. So I can't think offhand of somebody who could benefit from me standing around ringside as a middle-aged man. So I'm open to ideas though.”
