'Big Plans' Reportedly Set For Cody Rhodes Upon AEW Return

Cody has not been seen since the Homecoming episode of Dynamite

Cody Rhodes is reportedly set to make his return to All Elite Wrestling within the next month, with 'big plans' set for the American Nightmare upon his return.

Fans have not seen Rhodes since the August 4 2021 episode of AEW Dynamite - Homecoming - when the former TNT Champion faced Malakai Black in what was his first match since joining the AEW roster.

Rhodes was defeated in a quick and rather one-sided bout by Black, before being attacked by his opponent as he started a promo following the match, and has since been absent from television.

However, according to Cassidy Haynes of Bodyslam.net, Rhodes' return to AEW has been set for sometime this month and there are big plans in place for upon his return to the ring.

It is possible that Cody will reignite his feud with Black when he returns, given that Black has continued to torment his family and training partners in the past few weeks.

It has been reported that Rhodes' time-off from AEW, following his defeat to Black, was in order to film season two of the Go-Big Show for TNT.
