Oct 31, 2024
Former WWE Champion Bobby Lashley is All Elite.
Lashley made his AEW debut on last night's Fright Night edition of Dynamite, showing up to attack Swerve Strickland and Prince Nana following Swerve's victory over Shelton Benjamin in the show's main event.
After the beatdown, MVP grabbed the microphone and said 'Look who's back in business' as Dynamite went off the air.
MVP, Lashley and Benjamin were famously members of The Hurt Business Stable in WWE between 2020 and 2022. MVP has claimed that the faction were set to reform earlier this year, before those plans were scrapped.
AEW are now selling a t-shirt for 'The Hurt Syndicate' on their official shop website.
It had been expected that Lashley would join AEW after leaving WWE this summer (following the expiry of his contract), with reports suggesting he had already signed with Tony Khan's promotion surfacing earlier this month.
Reports indicated that AEW considered debuting the 48-year-old at the WrestleDream pay-per-view, but opted against doing so.
Since leaving WWE, Lashley has been rather outspoken against some of the things he witnessed during his time in the company. Most recently, he claimed that people within WWE had tried to get Omos fired.
