Bobby Lashley believes a match between him and Brock Lesnar for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 38 would make for a 'really interesting' headline bout.

Lashley has been actively pursuing a match with Lesnar since his return to WWE in 2018. Reports circulate that the collision between the two former MMA UFC heavyweights might happen at this year's SummerSlam but The All Mighty will be defending his WWE Title against Goldberg instead.

Lashley has not given up hope of a match with Lashley, however, but knows The Beast will only come back to compete for one of the promotion's biggest prizes - either the WWE Championship or the Universal Title.

With that in mind, the 45-year-old thinks a WrestleMania 38 card which features Lashley vs. Lesnar for the WWE Title and The Rock vs. Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship would be a particularly compelling event.

Speaking to the Battleground podcast, Lashley said: "Brock is not going to come back for me just because he wants to have a match with me. Brock is like a Goldberg. Brock comes back for a title. So, it’s either me or Roman.

"I think WrestleMania would be really interesting if we saw a Rock vs Roman match, and a Bobby vs Brock match as two of the headliners."
