Bobby Lashley Wins WWE Title At Royal Rumble After Paul Heyman Turns On Brock Lesnar

Lashley is champion again!

2022 hasn't even reached February yet but we already have the second WWE Champion of the year.

Brock Lesnar captured the WWE Championship on January 1 at the Day 1 pay-per-view but The Beast Incarnate's latest world title reign came to an end today at the hands of Bobby Lashley.

Both men faced off at the Royal Rumble on January 29 and Lesnar looked to have the match won after he connected with an F5. He accidentally threw Lashley into the referee, though, leaving no one around to count the pin, and Lesnar was suddenly Speared from out of nowhere by Roman Reigns.

Reigns then looked at Paul Heyman, who handed the Tribal Chief the WWE Championship, and Roman followed up with a title shot to Lesnar's head. A few moments later, Lashley capitalised and covered the fallen Lesnar for the 1-2-3.

With that, Lashley's second reign as WWE Champion begins.

The All Mighty previously held the WWE Title for 196 days in 2021, successfully defending the gold against Drew McIntyre, The Miz, Randy Orton, Braun Strowman, Kofi Kingston and Goldberg before Big E cashed in his Money In The Bank contract.
