Booker T: Why There's A Chance Brock Lesnar Could Join AEW
The WWE Hall Of Famer can see Lesnar making the switch
Aug 3, 2021
Booker T believes the possibility of Brock Lesnar becoming the next huge wrestling star to join AEW should not be ruled out, saying 'anything can happen right now'.
Lesnar hasn't been seen on WWE television since WrestleMania 36, dropping the WWE Championship to Drew McIntyre. The Beast had been rumoured for a return to the promotion to coincide with the return of fans but Lesnar, who is no longer under contract with WWE, has not agreed a deal with Vince McMahon's company.
It has been suggested that Lesnar could make the switch to AEW, with reports also indicating that CM Punk and Daniel Bryan are joining Tony Khan's promotion, and Booker T says it is not impossible to think Lesnar could wrestle in AEW in the future.
Speaking on his Hall Of Fame Podcast, he said: "There's always a chance (of Brock Lesnar joining AEW). If there's a check, there's always a chance anything can happen.
"The thing is Brock Lesnar is at the stage of his career where it's about securing things and locking things up, I think. Is it improbable that something like that could happen? Of course not. Right now, you've got to sit back and wait on it to happen.
"I know the rumours are flying around right now, and right now - I've said it once and I'll say it a thousand times - this is the closest it's been since WCW and WWE wars, and the guys going from one spot over to the other side. Anything can happen right now."
