Bray Wyatt Returns To Action At WWE Starrcade

The Eater Of Worlds is back...

For the second year in a row, WWE have used the name of the biggest WCW pay-per-view for a random house show - although this year's event was a little more special than last year's.

Not only was a whole hour of this year's show aired on the WWE Network last night, but one of the biggest Superstars on WWE Raw made his return after a little time away from the squared circle.

Former WWE Champion - doesn't that feel weird as we're sat here in 2018? - Bray Wyatt made his comeback as he answered an open challenge made by Acting Raw General Manager Baron Corbin.

We haven't seen Wyatt on WWE TV since the end of the summer when he was still teaming with Matt Hardy. Unfortunately, Broken Matt discovered that his spine and pelvis were starting to fuse together which resulted in retirement and a role behind the curtain. That left Bray in limbo, although some time away from the ring might be just what he needed.

Because of the way his character never really realised its potential, many online speculated that Bray Wyatt could be in-line for a gimmick change - a rumour The Eater of Worlds only fuelled with a number of cryptic tweets during his absence.

However, while appearing at Starrcade, he returned with the same music as before, the same attire, and with his Fireflies intact.

As for Starrcade itself, here's what you can see if you choose to watch the condensed version on the WWE Network:

  • AJ Styles vs. Samoa Joe inside a steel cage

  • Sasha Banks, Bayley, Ember Moon, and Dana Brooke vs. Nia Jax, Tamina, Mickie James, and Alicia Fox

  • An Elias concert featuring Ric Flair

  • MizTV featuring Rey Mysterio and Shinsuke Nakamura
