Brendan Vink Undergoes WWE Name Change

Say hello to Tony Modra...

WWE recently filed to trademark five names and three of them were dished out to NXT talent over the past week. Daniel Vidot will now go by Xyon Quinn, Omari Palmer is now known as Odyssey Jones and Sidney Bateman has been renamed Akeem Young.

This left two names up for grabs and one of them has since been given to Brendan Vink. MVP's former client will now be known as Tony Modra going forward. The name Ivy Nile remains unclaimed.

The name Tony Modra may well have been selected by Vink. The real-life Modra is a former Australian Football League player who is an Adelaide Crows legend and Vink just happens to be from Adelaide.

If WWE's Modra will appear on TV anytime soon remains to be seen. The Superstar debuted on WWE TV back in March on Monday Night Raw alongside Shane Thorne. They went on to feud with Ricochet and Cedric Alexander over the next couple of months and MVP was even briefly their manager before he formed The Hurt Business. Modra hasn't been seen on Raw since May, though, and Shane Thorne has since joined RETRIBUTION as Slapjack.
