Britt Baker Signs New AEW Contract
The AEW Women’s Champion has committed her future to the company
Ahead of last night’s edition of AEW: Dynamite, AEW Women’s World Champion Dr. Britt Baker teased the signing of the hottest wrestler on the planet. But for anyone expecting Adam Cole, they were left disappointed, as Baker revealed the signing was herself, with DMD revealing she’d signed a new deal with the promotion.
No details have emerged as to the nature of the deal, nor when Baker signed it, but tying down one of their hottest stars to a long-term deal is a great result for All Elite Wrestling.
Baker initially signed with AEW in January 2019, and after a so-so babyface run in the company, became the women’s division’s hottest star, with her popularity going through the roof after her brutal Light’s Out match against Thunder Rosa earlier this year.
Britt will be putting her AEW Women’s Title on the line at the upcoming All Out PPV this Sunday September 5 in Chicago, taking on Best Friends’ Kris Statlander on the main card.
