Brock Lesnar vs. Cody Rhodes II Set For WWE Night Of Champions

Cody Rhodes and Brock Lesnar will clash for a second time at WWE Night of Champions

A major match has been announced for WWE's Night of Champions pay-per-view on Saturday, May 27 in Saudi Arabia.

Brock Lesnar was not advertised for the post-Backlash edition of Monday Night Raw on May 8 but the former WWE Champion made his presence felt, taking out Cody Rhodes during his Triple Threat quarter-final in the WWE World Heavyweight Title tournament. Cody looked set to secure victory over Finn Balor and The Miz but Lesnar suddenly appeared and put Rhodes through the announce table with an F5.

Following the spot, Lesnar grabbed Cody and challenged him to a 'fight' at Night of Champions. Later in the show after receiving medical attention, Rhodes accepted the challenge to make the match official for Night of Champions.

Rhodes and Lesnar have been in a programme since the Raw after WrestleMania 39 when Brock laid out Cody, turning heel in the process. They had their first match at Backlash and Cody picked up the win after rolling a Kimura Lock into a pin.

Already set for Night of Champions is the final of the WWE World Heavyweight Title tournament. Seth Rollins won the other quarter-final on the red brand before he defeated Finn Balor in the main event of Raw to advance to the final. The second finalist will be determined on this week's edition of SmackDown.
