Brock Lesnar Wins WWE Men's Royal Rumble

Lesnar wins his second Rumble

While he may have lost the WWE Championship earlier in the evening, Brock Lesnar ended January 29 as the 2022 Men's Royal Rumble winner.

Brock defended the WWE Title against Bobby Lashley at the pay-per-view and while he initially looked set to retain the gold, interference from Roman Reigns and a Paul Heyman heel turn cost The Beast Incarnate his championship.

Lesnar wasted no time going after another title opportunity, though, as he entered the Men's Royal Rumble at #30 and quickly eliminated Randy Orton, Riddle, Bad Bunny and Shane McMahon which brought the match down to the former UFC Heavyweight Champion and Drew McIntyre, the man who eliminated him from the 2020 Rumble.

Irn Dru wouldn't succeed this time, though, and Lesnar avoided a Claymore before he F5'd McIntyre to the floor below for the win.

With that, Lesnar wins his second Royal Rumble match, 19 years after his first Rumble victory in 2003. That time around, he went on to win the WWE Title at WrestleMania 19, defeating Kurt Angle.

A main event match at WrestleMania 38 against Roman Reigns is the obvious destination for Lesnar, and according to reports, that match will indeed take place in Arlington, Texas.
