Brodie Lee Confirms He Can Work For New Japan

They do have Chili's in the country...

Since obtaining his release from WWE at the end of 2019, Brodie Lee has found a new lease on the wrestling business. After being revealed as the Dark Order's "Exalted One" in AEW, Lee has been a dominant force, recently capturing the TNT title from Cody Rhodes in a shocking squash.

Lee's dominance could extend to New Japan as well, if things line up correctly.

Speaking with Nick Hausman on Wrestling Inc Daily, Lee confirmed that his AEW contract allows him the opportunity to wrestle for New Japan, while confirming that in America, the indy dates he can take have some limits.

"I have the possibility to do both those things," Lee revealed. "I think the indy work will be a bit more selective. New Japan is always a bucket list kind of item for me. So if the right opportunity came along, I would love to do it. In America, I'm AEW exclusive."

Some AEW talents, like Jon Moxley and Chris Jericho, have deals with New Japan, but AEW maintains priority above any and all other bookings. Moxley has also been unable to take New Japan dates in the United States, due to AEW being his primary home.

Lee wrestles alongside Dark Order followers Evil Uno, Stu Grayson, and Colt Cabana against Matt Cardona, Scorpio Sky, Dustin Rhodes, and QT Marshall tonight at AEW All Out.
