Bryan Danielson Wins AEW World Title At All In

The American Dragon is champion

Bryan Danielson is the new AEW World champion, after defeating Swerve Strickland in the main event of AEW All In on Sunday night at London's Wembley Stadium.

Late in the match, a bloody Danielson kicked out of several of Swerve's finishes. Just as Strickland attempted one more House Call, Hangman Page jumped the rail and created a disturbance at ringside, just long enough for Danielson to hit the Baisuke knee, but only for two.

After an ensuing struggle, Danielson hit two Baisuke knees and applied the Lebell Lock. Swerve managed to break the grip, but Danielson countered by snapping Swerve's fingers. Danielson then applied an overhook to the maneuver, causing Strickland to tap out.

After the match, Danielson celebrated with wife Brie and their kids, as well as Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta, and Pac.

Danielson becomes the ninth men's World champion in AEW history. Aside from winning this year's men's Owen Hart Foundation Cup, this is Danielson's first championship in AEW.

Danielson had vowed to retire had he lost.

Strickland's reign as AEW World champion ends at 126 days. He won the title from Samoa Joe on April 21 at AEW Dynasty in St. Louis.
