Bull Nakano To Be Inducted Into WWE Hall Of Fame

Bull Nakano to enter the WWE Hall of Fame

One of the greatest women's wrestlers of all time will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.

ESPN have reported that Bull Nakano will join Paul Heyman in the 2024 class of the WWE Hall of Fame. The ceremony will take place over WrestleMania 40 weekend in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Nakano told ESPN: "During my active years, I was able to get championship belts in Japan, America and Mexico. But just one thing was missing -- I didn't get inducted into the Hall of Fame. I wanted this. Finally, in 2024 in WrestleMania week, I am able to get this."

Beginning her career at only 15-years-old in 1983, Bull Nakano was one of the top stars of All Japan Women's Pro-Wrestling until her exit in 1996. She feuded and tagged with the likes of Dump Matsumoto, Kyoko Inoue, Akira Hokuto, and Aja Kong. Nakano held the WWWA World Tag Team Championships on three occasions and the WWWA World Single Title from January 1990 until dropping the belt to Aja Kong in November 1992.

Beyond AJW, Bull Nakano became the inaugural CMLL World Women's Champion in 1992. After initially wrestling for the company in 1986, Nakano headed to WWE in 1994 and she defeated Alundra Blayze inside the Tokyo Dome to win the WWE Women's Championship on November 20, 1994. She held the title until the Raw after WrestleMania 11 where she dropped the belt back to Blayze.

Nakano's feud with Blayze would be rekindled in 1996 in WCW as the now-Madusa defeated Nakano at Hog Wild in a match that saw Madusa destroy her rival's motorcycle after the match. Nakano retired from pro wrestling in 1997.

Most recently, Nakano was announced as the acting commissioner of Sukeban, the US-based all-female Japanese promotion.
