Carlito Hasn't Heard From WWE Since Royal Rumble 2021

Carlito has revealed he hasn't had contact with anyone from WWE since making his surprise appearance at this year's Royal Rumble.

Carlito was a shock entrant in the titular match at January's Royal Rumble event, and would also feature on the next night's episode of Raw, teaming with Jeff Hardy and defeating Elias and Jaxson Ryker.

His use on the red brand prompted speculation that Carlito could re-sign with WWE but the former Intercontinental champion has admitted he hasn't spoken to anyone from the promotion since that Raw showing.

Speaking on The Angle Podcast, Carlito said: "It was just the Rumble. I think the day before the Rumble they asked if I can do RAW too and I said ‘yea sure, whatever you guys need.’

"That’s all we talked about. It was RAW and the Rumble. I’ve had no communication since the RAW appearance."

With no contract tying him down, Carlito is open to offers for work, but is also comfortable with doing his own thing.

He added: "Yea I’m open, you know, I’m open to whatever. Whoever wants to use me I’m willing to listen.

"But like I said I’ve been doing my own thing for all of these years and if it stays that way I’m fine with that too. No, no talks with AEW either. It is what it is man. I don’t know.”
