Carlito is once again gone from WWE, with the former Intercontinental Champion upbeat despite his release.
WWE announced in June 2025 that they would not be renewing the contract of the Judgment Day member with Carlito subsequently exiting the promotion later that month. Speaking with D-Von Dudley about his exit, the second-generation star said the following:
“It’s the other, the contract ended and they wanted me not to renew. It was two weeks out and I never went to them, they never came to me. So, yeah, they call it like two weeks out. You don’t have to come to the RAW or whatever. I’m professional. I don’t like that they- I’m a professional. I’ll come in. I’m not going to come in whatever. It’s a live show, so you want pre-tape my stuff. So I don’t go AWOL or anything. But I’m a professional. Treat me like a mark or something. I’ll do my job and yes, whatever. It’s not the end of the world either,” said Carlito.
Carlito returned to WWE in 2023 after making several appearances in the preceding years, signing his first contract with the promotion since his exit in May 2010.
