Carmella Gives Update On Injury Status
Carmella has been out injured since early August
We haven’t seen Carmella on WWE TV for over a month now, with the former WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion having picked up an injury during a house show match against Asuka and Bianca Belair in early August.
No details have been revealed as to the nature and extent of Carmella’s injury, and Carmella revealed that a return date is unknown as of yet:
“I’m not sure yet.. still recovering. Hopefully soon! I miss y’all” Tweeted Carmella in response to a fan asking of her return date.
Fan footage of the house show incident doesn’t answer any questions as to what the injury may be, but it looks like WWE and Carmella are not taking any risks.
Carmella’s last TV match came on an episode of WWE Main Event in July, with her last Raw appearance - a singles loss to WWE Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair - coming on July 18.
As well as the SmackDown Women’s Championship, Carmella has also held the WWE 24/7 Title, and the Women’s Tag Team Championships with Queen Zelina. Carmella was also the first Women’s Money in the Bank winner in WWE history.
