Cary Silkin Comments On Tony Khan's Running Of ROH

Cary Silkin has given his opinion on Tony Khan’s ROH

Tony Khan shocked the professional wrestling world in early 2022 when he announced that he’d purchased Ring of Honor, bringing the legendary indie promotion out of a self-imposed hiatus.

Since then, Khan has ran several highly regarded ROH PPVs, and relaunched ROH TV on HonorClub, with ROH titles regularly defended on AEW TV. Former ROH President Cary Silkin was asked for his take on the current state of ROH during an appearance on The Insiders with Conrad Thompson, with Silkin saying the following:

“It’s still alive today, but it’s… it doesn’t have… even in the worst times of my Ring of Honor, even in the worst times of the Sinclair Ring of Honor, there was like ‘We’re all in this together’ kind of. It was a family; the fans are family. And I like Tony Khan, and he’s a good guy, and he’s got so much on his plate that I just think the current Ring of Honor is … I can’t come up with the right words. And maybe I’m sour grapes a little. But it’s not gelled together properly,” said Silkin.

Many wrestling fans perceive ROH as somewhat of an afterthought, with the promotion seeming to serve as some form of developmental territory for AEW.
