Charlotte Flair Didn't Know About WWE SmackDown Women's Title Win Until She Got To The Arena

Charlotte Flair’s recent WWE SmackDown Women’s Title was a last minute surprise to Flair

Charlotte Flair’s WWE return on December 30 and SmackDown Women’s Title win was a huge surprise to fans, and apparently also to Flair herself.

‘The Queen’ had been out of action for several months before returning and defeating Ronda Rousey for the gold, and during an appearance on Out of Character with Ryan Satin, Flair shed some light on her return:

“I didn’t find out I was winning the title until I got there. I didn’t have my gear with me,” Charlotte Flair revealed. “My amazing cleaning lady brought me my gear. I should have known better like I’m coming to a wrestling show. Like I just brought my outfit. I thought it was just gonna be a walkout surprise. I’ve been gone for so long, so there really didn’t need to be any major fireworks.

“But no, when I got there, they’re like, ‘Oh, you need your gear.’ It’s like, ‘Oh, God. I don’t have my gear with me.’ We were like 30 minutes out from Tampa. I got the call at maybe five-ish, that I needed gear right before I got to the arena. So she got to the arena around 7-7:15. That’s pushing it.”
