A higher-up in WWE NXT seemingly tried to sabotage Chelsea Green's career following her release from the company.

Green spent three years with WWE from 2018 until she was let go by the company in April 2021.

Following her release, Green agreed a deal with Ring Of Honor and The Hot Mess made her ROH debut at the promotion's Best In The World pay-per-view in July. WWE also cleared Green to work the event as it was a few days before her 90-day non-compete clause expired.

Speaking about her ROH debut on her Green With Envy podcast, Chelsea revealed an individual "at the top of the NXT food chain" called Ring Of Honor and told them not to hire her.

"When I debuted at Ring Of Honor this summer, someone at the top of the NXT food chain called them to tell them that they should not hire me. So, let me just get this straight, when I got fired from WWE someone at the top of the NXT food chain called the company who was about to hire me to help me provide food for my family and for myself and told them not to hire me," Green revealed.

"So this is just me being petty and telling the world a little bit of tea but I can't believe a company would fire somebody and then try to block them from getting a job somewhere. It makes me sad. Really sad."

As mentioned, Ring Of Honor ultimately ignored the WWE individual and Green has worked for the promotion over the past few months alongside appearances in the National Wrestling Alliance and IMPACT.
