Chris Hemsworth Unsure About Plans For Hulk Hogan Biopic

Latest on the Hulk Hogan biopic from Chris Hemsworth

Chris Hemsworth has provided an update on the planned Hulk Hogan biopic.

It emerged back in 2019 that Hemsworth would portray The Immortal One in a biopic that would also see Todd Phillips and Scott Silver continue working together. Phillips was the director of 2019's The Joker and the upcoming second Joker movie, while Silver was the writer for both films. Bradley Cooper, Eric Bischoff, and Michael Sugar are set to be producers on the Hogan movie, while Hogan himself will be an advisor.

Very little has been heard about the Hogan biopic over the past year but Hemsworth told Chris Van Vliet while promoting Extraction 2:

"Let's hope. I don't know what's happening with it at the moment, but there's a good story there. I'd love to tell it. I know Todd Phillips has been deep in the world of The Joker, but we've had conversations, and yeah, fingers crossed."

The biopic will chronicle the origin and rise of Hulkamania that saw Hulk Hogan become one of - if not the biggest - star in professional wrestling history.
