Christian Cage: I'm Coming Back To Prove I'm One Of The Best To Ever Do This

He recently signed a multi-year deal with AEW

New AEW signing Christian Cage was the most recent guest on Oral Sessions with Renee Paquette and the former NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion discussed a multitude of topics, including when he decided to return to the ring.

Captain Charisma commented further on his desire to return to the squared circle and he noted he is out to prove that he is one of the best to ever step foot in the ring.

"If I didn't have the confidence that I would be able to go like I did, I wouldn't even be attempting this. This is one of the things that I've always taken pride in, if my name is on something, if I'm involved in something, I'm all in on it. This is no different here. I'm coming back to prove that I'm one of the best in my mind - I hate saying these kind of things - but I feel like I'm one of the best to ever do this and it's what I was born to do. I'm coming back to prove that and to prove to the fans. And in a weird sense, my body has kind of been preserved for seven years," Cage stated.

Christian returned to the ring at Royal Rumble 2021, almost seven years after he was forced to retire because of concussion issues. He has since signed with All Elite Wrestling on a multi-year deal and Tony Khan noted Captain Charisma will wrestle regularly for the promotion.
