Claim From Dana White Suggests WWE May Move PPVs Back To Sunday Nights

WWE could run PPVs on Sundays once more according to claims from Dana White

For the best part of 40 years, WWE pay per view specials aired on Sunday nights - save for several notable exceptions - but in recent years the company has shifted, with most ‘premium live events’ now airing on Saturday nights instead.

However, claims from UFC head Dana White suggest that WWE may revert to the Sunday PLE model, with White saying the following when asked about upcoming UFC dates during the UFC Fight Night post-show press conference on May 11:

“Yeah, we already have those dates set up right now, where Power Slap goes Friday and UFC goes Saturday. And then you’re going to see Friday, Power Slap, Saturday, UFC, and Sunday, WWE. You’ll start seeing that stuff, too,” said White.

The move would make sense form a corporate synergy point of view, with WWE and UFC now partners under the TKO umbrella - there’d be no reason to have the two entities potentially clash on event nights.

Whilst WWE’s schedule until August has major main roster PLEs pencilled in for Saturdays, there’s no saying that this might not all change afterwards.
